Unfriendly!
Rude staff
Underground service ... very dirty tables. Not recommendable!
It couldn't be more impolite
Sitting outside and drinking water and coffee, very nice.
Everything is right here. Friendly and attentive service, delicious food and good wines, nice seating outside. We will definitely come back and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.
Beautiful place, but with a very rude service. We come from the north and wanted to experience this beautiful federal state by hiking for several days. At the reception / table assignment, the waitress at the Shamari mill told us that eating would take a very long time, the better we go somewhere else. I don't want to be wrong, but it sounded like we should go again. It sounded rude. “Further: we would like to sit outside, but there was no space outside; no problem. Then we are led inside to a place. We are directed inside. Shortly before reaching the door, we walk past a table where 2 women were sitting. One of the two happens to say to us and the clerk that they would now go to one of the benches and clear the table. At that moment the waitress completely ignores us and turns away from us and talks to the two women. Of course in the second I hoped we could sit there. But wouldn't have been bad if not. The point was that we are suddenly completely ignored. Then we go in alone. We then go in. Sit down. 4 or 5 tables. Everyone was free. We never saw our employees again. Another waiter comes 10 - 15 minutes later and says very nicely that there is a table outside and we can sit down there. So we go back out and exactly to the place where the two women were sitting. 5 minutes later our waitress comes back and says "we should get up again, the table is not for us". I then apologized and said nicely that your colleague had assigned us to the table. She goes on and calls over (annoyed) "The table is reserved and do we have a reservation? No right? And besides, she couldn't do anything for her colleague, but we're supposed to be out of there now. ”In the meantime, some of us looked at the guests outside, since she had this discussion with us over 5 meters away. We went. So. anything can happen. And we would have gone in again. All good. But the sound makes the music. From the first moment she was just very rude to us. Maybe the hiking backpack didn't suit her, but then she should say that, please. We were dressed normally and looked neat. I run a 20 man craft business, have been on my party's board of directors at the county level, have been properly brought up, and make over 2 million sales to my business each year. It doesn't make me better or worse than other people. But I want to say that I have never felt in my city that I am not welcome in a restaurant / shop. A whole new feeling for me. That ruined the first really great vacation day a bit. Seen a lot of great things here (monastery, castle) and met hospitable people until we wanted to stop at the Shamari Mill in the evening. I want to have a nice evening when I stop somewhere and don't have to argue with anyone. We sleep in Burg Schwarzenstein today. Also a little upscale and we were greeted warmly. The experience at Shamari made us unsure whether we could stop at our hotel at all. To be fair, I have to say that the Schamari mill looked fantastic and that, objectively, in relation to the poor service, 2 stars and not my 1 star would be fair. But I'm still angry and annoyed with myself that it still triggers me. We don't know what the wine and the food are like. Unfortunately we couldn't try it.
Very nice and definitely recommended. Delicious food and good wines.
Very good wine, delicious food in a nice setting
For one, the Schamari mill is a nice and cozy place. With very nice service. On the other hand, there is one of the best handkäs in the Rheingau! Own game completes the food. With a full-bodied Riesling or a strong Pinot Noir - France sends its regards.
Good wines at fair prices
We spontaneously stopped in this winery and went home with 6 bottles :) After drinking a glass of wine in a beautiful garden, we decided to taste more wine - especially the Chardonnay that we took home, is just awesome. Recommended!
My favorite winery in the Rheingau. Best price performance ratio
Very beautiful vineyard. Great wines. Nice personel. Always an experience
